ISC Class 11 Eligibility
Eligibility for ISC Class 11 is determined by your school and the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). It is primarily about academic progression from Class 10.
Admission Criteria
- Academic Prerequisite
- Pass in the ICSE (Class 10) exam or its equivalent.
- School Admission
- Secured admission into Class 11 in a CISCE-affiliated school.
- Subject Choice
- Must select English and three to five elective subjects.
- Attendance
- Must meet the minimum attendance requirement set by the council.
- Internal Promotion
- Must pass the school's Class 11 final exam to be promoted to Class 12.
Stream and Subject Selection
Schools often set their own minimum percentage criteria for admission into specific streams like Science or Commerce, based on your Class 10 board exam results. For instance, a certain score in Mathematics and Science might be required for the Science stream. The choice of subjects in Class 11 is important as you generally cannot change them in Class 12. The final list of subjects must be approved by your school according to CISCE guidelines.
