ISC Class 12 Eligibility Criteria
To appear for the ISC (Class 12) examination, students must meet the academic and attendance requirements set by the CISCE. These criteria ensure a student is adequately prepared for the board examinations.
Eligibility Checklist
- Prior Qualification
- Must have passed the ICSE (Class 10) exam or its equivalent.
- Schooling
- Completed a two-year course in a CISCE-affiliated school.
- Subject Choice
- Studied English plus three to five elective subjects.
- Attendance
- Met the minimum attendance percentage prescribed by the Council.
- Internal Work
- Completed all required practicals, projects, and assessments.
Special Conditions and Transfers
Students transferring from other recognized boards may be eligible under certain conditions, subject to approval from the CISCE. The Council specifies the equivalent examinations it recognizes. Similarly, regulations exist for private candidates, though these are restrictive. For any specific case, such as a transfer or a gap year, the school principal must be consulted, as they handle all communication with the Council regarding student eligibility and registration for the examination.
