Written solution

Point P(3,2,6)\text{Point } P(3, 2, 6)

r⃗=(i^−j^+2k^)+μ(−3i^+j^+5k^)\vec{r} = (\hat{i} - \hat{j} + 2\hat{k}) + \mu(-3\hat{i} + \hat{j} + 5\hat{k})

⇒ Q=(1−3μ, −1+μ, 2+5μ) lies on the line\Rightarrow\ Q = (1-3\mu,\ -1+\mu,\ 2+5\mu) \text{ lies on the line}

Find μ: PQ→∥plane x−4y+3z=1\text{Find } \mu:\ \overrightarrow{PQ} \parallel \text{plane } x - 4y + 3z = 1

⇔ PQ→⋅n⃗=0,n⃗=(1,−4,3)\Leftrightarrow\ \overrightarrow{PQ} \cdot \vec{n} = 0,\quad \vec{n} = (1, -4, 3)

b⃗=−3i^+j^+5k^(direction of line)\vec{b} = -3\hat{i} + \hat{j} + 5\hat{k}\quad (\text{direction of line})

n⃗=i^−4j^+3k^(normal of plane)\vec{n} = \hat{i} - 4\hat{j} + 3\hat{k}\quad (\text{normal of plane})

PQ→=Q−P=(−2−3μ, −3+μ, −4+5μ)\overrightarrow{PQ} = Q - P = (-2-3\mu,\ -3+\mu,\ -4+5\mu)

Plan: PQ→⋅n⃗=0⇒solve for μ\text{Plan: } \overrightarrow{PQ} \cdot \vec{n} = 0 \Rightarrow \text{solve for } \mu

PQ→=(−2−3μ, −3+μ, −4+5μ),n⃗=(1,−4,3)\overrightarrow{PQ} = (-2-3\mu,\ -3+\mu,\ -4+5\mu),\quad \vec{n} = (1,-4,3)

PQ→⋅n⃗=1(−2−3μ)+(−4)(−3+μ)+3(−4+5μ)\overrightarrow{PQ}\cdot\vec{n} = 1(-2-3\mu) + (-4)(-3+\mu) + 3(-4+5\mu)

=(−2−3μ)+(12−4μ)+(−12+15μ)= (-2-3\mu) + (12-4\mu) + (-12+15\mu)

=−2+8μ= -2 + 8\mu

8μ−2=0 ⇒ μ=148\mu - 2 = 0 \ \Rightarrow\ \mu = \dfrac{1}{4}

Q=(14, −34, 134)Q = \left(\dfrac14,\ -\dfrac34,\ \dfrac{13}{4}\right)

At μ=14: PQ→=−114(1,1,1)\text{At } \mu=\dfrac14:\ \overrightarrow{PQ} = -\dfrac{11}{4}(1,1,1)

(1,1,1)⋅(1,−4,3)=1−4+3=0 ✓(1,1,1)\cdot(1,-4,3) = 1-4+3 = 0 \ \checkmark

μ=14\boxed{\mu = \dfrac{1}{4}}

option (1)\boxed{\text{option } (1)}
