Written solution

m,n∈Z+,m>1, n>1m, n \in \mathbb{Z}^{+},\qquad m > 1,\ n > 1

lim⁡α→0ecos⁡(αn)−eαm=−e2\lim_{\alpha\to 0} \dfrac{e^{\cos(\alpha^n)} - e}{\alpha^m} = -\dfrac{e}{2}

To find: mn\text{To find: } \dfrac{m}{n}

cos⁡x=1−x22+x424−⋯\cos x = 1 - \dfrac{x^2}{2} + \dfrac{x^4}{24} - \cdots

cos⁡(αn)=1−α2n2+α4n24−⋯\cos(\alpha^n) = 1 - \dfrac{\alpha^{2n}}{2} + \dfrac{\alpha^{4n}}{24} - \cdots

ecos⁡(αn)=e⋅ecos⁡(αn)−1e^{\cos(\alpha^n)} = e \cdot e^{\cos(\alpha^n)-1}

cos⁡(αn)−1=−α2n2+α4n24−⋯\cos(\alpha^n) - 1 = -\dfrac{\alpha^{2n}}{2} + \dfrac{\alpha^{4n}}{24} - \cdots

ecos⁡(αn)=e(1−α2n2+o(α2n))e^{\cos(\alpha^n)} = e\left(1 - \dfrac{\alpha^{2n}}{2} + o(\alpha^{2n})\right)

ecos⁡(αn)−e=e(−α2n2+o(α2n))e^{\cos(\alpha^n)} - e = e\left(-\dfrac{\alpha^{2n}}{2} + o(\alpha^{2n})\right)

=−e2 α2n+o(α2n)= -\dfrac{e}{2}\,\alpha^{2n} + o(\alpha^{2n})

ecos⁡(αn)−eαm=−e2 α2n−m+o(α2n−m)\dfrac{e^{\cos(\alpha^n)} - e}{\alpha^m} = -\dfrac{e}{2}\,\alpha^{2n-m} + o(\alpha^{2n-m})

Finite, nonzero limit ⇒ 2n−m=0 ⇒ m=2n\text{Finite, nonzero limit} \ \Rightarrow\ 2n - m = 0 \ \Rightarrow\ m = 2n

m=2n ⇒ mn=2m = 2n \ \Rightarrow\ \dfrac{m}{n} = 2

mn=2\boxed{\dfrac{m}{n} = 2}
